Introducing a NEW Lecture Series at Oakmont:

Great Adversaries — Historical Contests

Dueling Adverseries
It's said "love makes the world go round," but more often it is opposition that drives historical developments. Great contests make for great history. In politics, in art, on the battlefield, it's been when two individuals or two movements have gone head-to-head that sparks fly. As it does with Olympic athletics, the bracing stimulus of competition seems to bring out the best in adversaries. In this ongoing series, through lecture, discussion and visuals, Dr. Bruce Elliott each week highlights one of the outstanding contests in Western history.

Friday afternoons, 3:00 – 5:00 pm in Oakmont
